Looking for Tom Limoncelli's book?I wrote it because I love you.(Disclaimer: This is a paid endorsement, the publisher makes no promises about Tom's feelings for you.) |
(Note: Please send corrections, updates, etc. to Tom Limoncelli. The Bozzo family of Minori, Italy, adopted a baby, who was named Antonio Limoncelli. He moved to New Haven, CT. Owned a gas station. Married Madaline Samnmarco.
??? and Philamina Sanmarco moved from Italy, to England, to Italy, and then to the United States. They owned an ice cream businessness in England (Possibly a royally-granted monopoly?) after working in the Merchant Marine. Their child Madaline was born in England. Moved to the U.S. at age 6.
Antonio married Madaline in the U.S. Madaline could read and write English and Italian and translated letters for the neighborhood. They had the following children: Peter, Balthasar ("Bo"), Rose (died early), Rose (died early), Raefalina ("Rae"), Mathew (died in WWII), Anne, Art, Anthony, and Edward (died Sept 2003). Edward married Grace Dellisola.
Louis (need to verify first name) Dellisola's second wife was Latisha Lento. His children from his first wife (need to check that) were Vincent and Anthony. My notes are unclear, but I believe that Louis and Latisha had children named Thomas, Josephine and Betina.
This clan came from town of Crispiano which is in the Puglia area of Italy. Cosimo Limoncelli came to the USA in the twenties. His brother Vito came to NY about the same time. The two brothers met two sisters and they married. Cosimo married Anna Casola and her sister Louise married Vito.
Cosimo and Anna had three children. All boys. Nicholas is the oldest, then Gaetano (who everyone called "Tom") and Anthony. Vito & Louise had four children. Nicholas, Katherine, Gaetano & Rosemarie.
